THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA AT 4 AM... RANGED FROM 19 DEGREES AT GALESBURG...TO 32 DEGREES AT ROBINSON AND EFFINGHAM. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME LAKE EFFECT SNOW ACROSS WESTERN MICHIGAN...A HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL PRODUCE DRY WEATHER ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION TODAY. A FEW SNOW FLURRIES COULD BE SEEN ACROSS PORTIONS OF MISSOURI...IOWA AND ILLINOIS THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. TEMPERATURES WILL BE MORE TYPICAL OF MID WINTER FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS...WITH READINGS AROUND 20 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. A WEATHER DISTURBANCE DIVING SOUTHEAST OUT OF THE PLAINS COULD BRING ACCUMULATING SNOW TO PARTS OF MISSOURI ON THURSDAY...HOWEVER DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST FARTHER EAST. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY...WILL RANGE FROM THE TEENS ACROSS THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF WISCONSIN AND IOWA...TO THE LOWER 50S ACROSS THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES...WILL RANGE FROM NEAR ZERO ACROSS NORTHERN IOWA...TO NEAR 30 DEGREES ACROSS WESTERN KENTUCKY. $$ JRP
