URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BISMARCK ND
329 PM CST MON FEB 18 2013

...SNOW AND WINDS ARE DIMINISHING...BUT DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS
THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

.OCCASIONAL LIGHT SNOW HAS ENDED ACROSS EASTERN PORTIONS OF
CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA. HOWEVER...STRONG WINDS WITH GUSTS OVER 40
MPH ARE STILL PRODUCING REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN BLOWING SNOW FROM
ROLETTE AND RUGBY SOUTH THROUGH CARRINGTON...JAMESTOWN AND OAKES.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THIS AREA UNTIL 6
PM THIS EVENING. CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPROVE AS WINDS
DIMINISH THIS EVENING.

ARCTIC AIR WILL CONTINUE TO DROP SOUTH INTO THE REGION TONIGHT.
THE BITTER COLD AIR...COMBINED WITH NORTH WINDS OF 5 TO 15 MPH
WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILLS OF 25 TO 40 BELOW ZERO ACROSS NORTHWEST
AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

ALTHOUGH WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE IMPROVING...TRAVEL REMAINS
HAZARDOUS ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA DUE TO
RECENT SNOW AND WINDS. BE SURE TO CARRY A WINTER SURVIVAL KIT IN
YOUR VEHICLE AND INFORM OTHERS OF YOUR TRAVEL PLANS.
