A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IS EXTENDING ACROSS THE STATE FROM THE
NORTH THIS EVENING THOUGH SOME AREAS OF FOG AND PATCHY FREEZING
DRIZZLE ARE OCCURRING AT THIS TIME AND THE SKIES REMAIN OVERCAST.
HIGHS TODAY WERE IN THE 30S STATEWIDE. WINDS THIS EVENING ARE
GENERALLY FROM THE EAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH.

THE REGION SHOULD REMAIN UNDER HIGH PRESSURE FRIDAY...ALTHOUGH IT
WILL NOT BRING MUCH CLEAR WEATHER. FOG IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST
THROUGH TOMORROW. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM SHOULD MOVE OFF THE
COLORADO FRONT RANGE FRIDAY AND MOVE INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS
SATURDAY BRINGING WITH IT ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION
ACROSS PARTS OF THE DAKOTAS...MINNESOTA AND NORTHERN IOWA. AREAS
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 CAN EXPECT MOSTLY RAIN WITH SOME ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY EVENING INTO SATURDAY. THE RAIN SHOULD CHANGE
OVER TO SNOW BY SUNDAY AS COOLER TEMPERATURES MOVE IN. HIGHEST
TEMPERATURES WILL BE SATURDAY AS THE 40S MAKE IT ALL THE WAY INTO
CENTRAL IOWA. MOST OF THE REGION WILL BE BACK IN THE 30S ON SUNDAY
AND THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
