AFTERNOON HIGHS WERE IN THE LOWER 50S TO THE LOWER 60S...AND READINGS DID NOT FALL MUCH IN THE EVENING HOURS DUE TO CLOUD COVER. AT 9 PM...TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE UPPER 40S TO THE MID 50S. A WARM FRONT OVER CENTRAL LOUISIANA WILL MOVE NORTH TONIGHT AND THURSDAY. THIS WILL BRING MORE MOISTURE TO THE REGION...WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP ALONG OF AND NORTH OF THE FRONT. RAINFALL CHANCES WILL BE HIGHER IN THE NORTH...WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH. HIGHS ON THURSDAY WILL BE IN THE MID 60S TO THE UPPER 70S. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL AVERAGE 2 TO 3 INCHES OVER THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE STATE...WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES OVER THE SOUTHERN HALF. SINCE THE GROUND IS SATURATED OVER MUCH OF THE STATE...FLASH FLOODING IS A CONCERN. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE STATE FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. EVERYONE IS URGED TO REVIEW FLASH FLOOD SAFETY RULES. REMEMBER...DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. $$
