AREA WEATHER SUMMARY

845 PM CDT SAT JUL 6 2002

ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED WIND DAMAGE NEAR NIANGUA IN 
NORTHEAST WEBSTER COUNTY SATURDAY EVENING...AND A REPORT OF DIME 
SIZE HAIL AROUND FAIR GROVE. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY EVENING 
PRODUCED LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WITH AMOUNTS OVER ONE INCH IN A FEW 
LOCATIONS OF THE OZARKS. AFTERNOON HIGHS WERE QUITE WARM WITH 
READINGS IN THE LOW TO MID 90S. SPRINGFIELD RECORDED 94 DEGREES 
SATURDAY AFTERNOON WHICH WAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST IN THE OZARKS.

A WEAK FRONT OVER EASTERN MISSOURI MAY DECREASE THE HUMIDITY LEVELS 
ON SUNDAY AS IT MOVES ACROSS THE OZARKS...HOWEVER THE DECREASE IN 
HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL BE OFFSET BY TEMPERATURES RISING A FEW DEGREES 
HIGHER THAN ON SATURDAY. 

LITTLE CHANGE IN OUR WEATHER CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY 
MORNING. THE CHANCE OF RAIN WILL RETURN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY 
AS A WEAK COLD FRONT MOVES INTO THE REGION. DRINK PLENTY OF 
NON-ALCOHOLIC AND CAFFEINE FREE BEVERAGES IF OUT IN THE SUN THE NEXT 
FEW DAYS...AND TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS IF EXERCISING OUTDOORS.
