.TODAY...
The Gulf warm front advancing into the far offshore waters...moving
more slowly than previously thought. Believe that the stable rains
will start later in the morning...giving way to afternoon convective
rains. The heaviest activity is expected across the Piney Hills
region of central Louisiana and southeast Texas.

.TONIGHT...
Convective rains are expected to end in the early evening hours. Near
record warm minimums are possible. The record warm minimums are:
         AEX  64 1943          BPT  66 1929
         LCH  66 1929          LFT  67 1920.

Strong Gulf air advection will hold temperatures up overnight.

.WEDNESDAY...
Strong Gulf air advection will persist. Sustained 20-knot southerly
winds are possible near noon. A meridional temperature distribution
will set up in the afternoon...coolest near the coast. Also...record
warm maximums are possible...especially over the Piney Hills region.
The record warm maximums are:

         AEX  81 1943          BPT  81 1909
         LCH  85 1914          LFT  83 1933.

.WEDNESDAY NIGHT...
An approaching cold front will trigger scattered to numerous heavy
showers and thunderstorms during the overnight hours. Otherwise...
warm minimums will prevail...running 20 to 25 degrees F above the
benchmark normals.

.THURSDAY...
A strong cold front will sweep through. The maximums will be reached
during the morning hours...falling rapidly in the afternoon.
