SYNOPSIS...A SOUTHEAST FLOW WILL BRING INCREASING MOISTURE BACK INTO
NORTHWEST ARIZONA MONDAY THEN EDGE CLOSE TO THE COLORADO RIVER BY
TUESDAY. THIS WILL LEAD TO A RETURN OF SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TO THE
FORECAST AREA BY MIDWEEK.

DISCUSSION...NO LIGHTNING STRIKES IN FORECAST AREA TODAY WITH ONLY
CUMULUS FIELDS NOTED OVER HIGHER TERRAIN OF SOUTH CENTRAL NEVADA AND
NORTHWEST ARIZONA. FEATURE OF INTEREST THIS EVENING IS UPPER
LOW/INVERTED TROUGH OVER BAJA MEXICO. EASTERLY FLOW OVER NORTHERN
SONORA HELPED PULL AN AREA OF MID/HIGH LEVEL MOISTURE WESTWARD TO THE
NORTHERN REACHES TO THE GULF OF CALIFORNIA. HIGH LEVEL MOISTURE
EXTENDING NORTHWARD ACROSS EASTERN ZONES WITH SATELLITE INDICATING
DENSER AREA OF CLOUDINESS OVER SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA. THERE IS ANOTHER
PLUME OF HIGH LEVEL MOISTURE IN SOUTHWEST FLOW OVER WESTERN ZONES.
00Z PLOT DATA INDICATED FLOW BETWEEN 700-500 hPa LIGHT EASTERLY OVER
ALL OF ARIZONA WITH DESERT ROCK SOUNDING AND KESX VWP SHOWING
SOUTHEAST FLOW. MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO CREEP WESTWARD TUESDAY
UNDER PERSISTENT SOUTH OR SOUTHEAST FLOW. WILL UPDATE TO MENTION MORE
