Much of the western half of Iowa was able to get out of the fog and clouds, at least briefly over the weekend. The rest of the state suffered on with persistent low clouds and fog that have plagued Iowa's weather for the past week. The featured chart presents a time series of cloud coverage reports and horizontal visibility for Decorah (far NE Iowa) so far this month. The week of low clouds and reduced visibility is readily seen with only a brief break of 10 miles visibility shown on the 27th. Our weather does look to warm this week and February continues to look to warm as well, at least to start off the month.
