For this plot, even when the wind is calm the resulting wind chill is included in the plot. The total so far for the 2020 season is shown along with a simple average and each previous winter season for Ames. The point is to show that we are just getting started for the season accumulating such cold readings. The forecast for the next week or so will start finally accumulating cold readings for the season.
