.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1219 AM CDT Thu Jun 19 2025

Near normal temperatures are expected today through next week as
pockets of deeper moisture gradually move into the region. While a
ridge aloft will continue to dominate the overall pattern, a few
weak disturbances are forecast to slip beneath it. These, combined
with the increased moisture, will lead to higher rain chances
late this week, and again from early to mid next week.

Today, inland rain chances will stay at around 10-20%, increasing
to 20-50% on Friday before drier conditions develop over the
weekend. Rain chances will then return to low to moderate levels
(20-50%) early next week.

The risk for heat related impacts will remain at minor to moderate
levels throughout the forecast period, and no other significant
hazards are expected at this time.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 630 AM CDT Thu Jun 19 2025

MVFR ceilings are more widespread inland early this morning with
breaks to VFR occurring near the coast (CRP). A fast moving narrow
line of showers are about to reach the northern Coastal Bend,
included VCSH and -RA at VCT over the next couple of hours as this
briefing passes through. There is a low 20-30% of additional
showers and thunderstorms through the daylight hours today but
confidence is too low to include at other terminals at this time.
Conditions will prevail to VFR by 16Z across South Texas with
southeasterly winds around 15 knots and gusts up to 25 knots.
Another MVFR/VFR ceiling mix is expected late tonight with
greatest vsby impact concern over ALI.

Issued at 1219 AM CDT Thu Jun 19 2025

A generally moderate to at times gentle onshore breeze (BF 3-4)
can be expected through early next week across the coastal
waters. Low rain chances today (20-30%) will increase to moderate
on Friday (30-60%). Daily low to moderate rain chances will then
continue into the weekend before increasing again to moderate
early next week.
