The Racoon River near Adel is full of ice and tree chunks from the recent rapid snow melt, river thaw, and tree damage from recent winter storms. These chunks got jammed underneath a bridge causing water to back-up and flood in the area. This scene was common from Iowa to the Northeastern US as winter quickly transitioned to spring.
