RATING: EF - 1 ESTIMATED PEAK WIND: 90 MPH PATH LENGTH /STATUTE/: 1 MILES PATH WIDTH /MAXIMUM/: 300 YARDS FATALITIES: 0 INJURIES: 0 START DATE: MAY 26 2016 START TIME: 534 PM CDT START LOCATION: BETWEEN HWY 105 AND LONGMIRE RD START LAT/LON: 30.3350 / -95.5055 END DATE: MAY 26 2016 END TIME: 542 PM CDT END LOCATION: APPROX 1 MI EAST OF LONGMIRE RD SOUTH OF FM 3083 END_LAT/LON: 30.3457 / -95.4952 Isolated straight line wind damage, mainly in the form of downed trees, was found across Montgomery county (particularly the southern 2/3s part of the county). However, the it appears a definitive tornado track started in western Conroe from in and just west of the Canyon Creek subdivision off of Longmire Rd. This small tornado tracked generally west-northwest to the south of FM 3083 for about a mile. The strongest winds, likely reaching 90 mph /EF1 range/, was near the start of the tornado just to the east of Longmire. Most of the rest of the tree damage was consistent with EF0 winds before the tornado dissipated. EF SCALE: THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE CLASSIFIES TORNADOES INTO THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.
