...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT FOR
EAST CENTRAL BALTIMORE COUNTY AND NORTHEASTERN BALTIMORE CITY...
At 347 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the area. Doppler radar indicated that in excess of four
inches of rain have already fallen. Flooding has been reported in
Parkville and White Marsh, including along Joppa Road. In addition,
White Marsh Run at White Marsh has seen a significant rise and is in
flood stage. As of 3:45 PM, the river is at 13.4 feet and is still
rising. At 13 feet, Town Center Court begins flooding and at 15 feet
water begins to affect buildings near the stream.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Baltimore, Parkville, Carney, Perry Hall, Rossville, White Marsh and
Fullerton.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
