The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
Baltimore City in northern Maryland...
Northeastern Howard County in central Maryland...
Southwestern Baltimore County in northern Maryland...
* Until 615 PM EDT.
* At 318 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. Rainfall amounts between 1
and 2 inches are expected within an hour, and this will cause
flooding in low-lying and urban areas.
* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Baltimore, Sparrows Point, Ellicott City, Dundalk, Towson,
Catonsville, Woodlawn, Milford Mill, Lochearn, Arbutus, Rosedale,
Brooklyn Park, Ilchester, Linthicum, Edgemere, Lansdowne, Oella,
Eastpoint, Halethorpe and Daniels.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
