A large and powerful storm system brought snow and rain to the state on Friday into Saturday. The featured map depicts available snowfall reports from the NWS and CoCoRaHS. It shows a stripe of two to four inches stretching from southwestern Iowa to Dubuque. The highest reported totals so far are near the Des Moines metro at about four inches. Another round of snowfall is expected this afternoon and overnight impacting southeastern Iowa.
