Much of the country is currently experiencing some of its wettest weather on record. So it stands to reason with all that precipitation, Flood Warnings have been prevalent this year. The featured map displays the number of days this year that a given NWS Forecast Office has had at least one Flood Warning active. The map covers the first 170 days of 2019 and the offices along the Mississippi River have certainly been busy this year. River stages have generally been on the decrease over Iowa recently, but significant rainfall remains in the forecast into the weekend.
