The featured map presents IEM estimated September 2017 precipitation ranks by climate district. A stripe of very dry conditions are analyzed from Missouri up into Michigan and Ohio. Iowa was just on the western edge with very dry conditions over eastern Iowa and wetter over western Iowa. Some significant amounts of rain are forecasted to fall over Iowa during the next seven days, which will further delay the corn harvest in the state.
