None to three inches

Posted: 24 May 2016 05:34 AM

The heavy precipitation is taken its sweet time to advance into eastern Iowa, where it is needed the most. On Monday afternoon, some slow moving showers and thundershowers dumped upwards of three inches in a limited stretch just northwest of Ames. The featured map displays MRMS estimates along with a few storm reports of precipitation received by the NWS. There are plenty more chances of storms this week and hopes for some to reach eastern Iowa as well!
