For the past week the weather community has been buzzing about a very large storm system that the forecast models have been generating over the plains for this weekend. The Hydrometeorological Prediction Center has a 2 inch bullseye painted over Central Iowa. It still is not clear how much will fall as rain or snow, but it all will have to go somewhere with a frozen ground and ice on the rivers, a dangerous flooding situation is likely.
