A view from IEM's Interactive RADAR app shows a lot going on already this Thursday morning. A strong spring storm will move east over the plains today bringing a wide spread severe weather outbreak to locations mostly south of Iowa. The key to an enhanced severe weather threat is if the afternoon sun is able to heat the lower atmosphere providing a more unstable situation. Even so, it appears March is going out like a lion.
