Showers and thunderstorms are slowing working east this morning over central Iowa. This area of precipitation will slowly diminish, but a cold front will enter the state from the NW this afternoon and trigger some strong thunderstorms with the potential for damaging winds. Damaging winds are not welcome for a shallow rooted corn crop this year.
