At 145 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a narrow line of showers 
along a line extending over the Lake Michigan shoreline from near 
Manistee to South Haven.  Movement was southeast at 15 mph.  This 
line is expected to increase in intensity over the next two hours. 
Severe storms could become possible after 3 PM mainly east of U.S. 

Large hail and damaging winds will be possible with these storms. An 
isolated tornado will also be possible.


Torrential rainfall will occur with these storms, and may lead to 
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning will occur with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms are expected to intensify, so be certain to monitor 
local radio stations and available television stations for 
additional information and possible warnings from the National 
Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Grand Rapids.
