A short lived and weak tornado associated with Tropical Depression
Florence touched down in the pre-dawn hours just east of the Wayne
Executive Jetport runway. The tornado was only on the ground for 
a short amount of time, but did cause some minor structural damage
to a home and destroyed several outbuildings before lifting.

NOTE: An aerial survey was conducted on this storm during the 
afternoon of September 18th. We at the National Weather Service 
would like to thank everyone involved on this survey, especially
for Wayne County Emergency Management who provided a great deal of
guidance and resources into this endeavor.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph
