...Summary...
A weak and short-lived tornado associated with Tropical Depression
Florence touched down southwest of Elm City, NC just after dawn on 
September 17th, 2018. The tornado remained on the ground for roughly 
1.2 miles, producing intermittent damage to primarily hardwood trees 
and under brush. Uprooted and snapped trees fell onto several cars and
structures along the tornado path, with damage ending gradually on 
the northwest end of town.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
