Rating: EF-2 Estimated peak wind: 135 mph Path length: 5.8 miles Path width: 200 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 9 Start date: February 24, 2018 Start time: 8:44 PM CST Start location: South side of Hopkinsville End date: February 24, 2018 End time: 8:51 PM CST End location: 5.5 miles east of Hopkinsville Summary: Three apartment buildings near the intersection of the Pennyrile Parkway and Pembroke Road were destroyed with the roof and most walls blown down on the second story. Another apartment building was heavily damaged. All injuries occurred in the apartment complex. One car was flipped and blown some distance with 2 others blown from their original positions and several others damaged. At least 4 retail buildings sustained major roof and siding damage with windows and doors blown in or broken. Four barns were heavily damaged or flattened and four houses sustained mainly minor roof damage. Two large commercial buildings were damaged with one sustaining major roof and wall damage. Hundreds of trees were snapped or uprooted. Tornado began approximately 1/2 mile west of intersection of Fort Campbell Blvd and Pennyrile Parkway and ended 5.5 miles east of Hopkinsville just east of Overby Lane.
