Also made minor adjustments to several of the other tornadoes. This is the final update on this tornado outbreak until entry into official Storm Data records. .#1 Newbern TN to Elkton KY... Rating: EF3 Estimated Peak Wind: 160 mph Path Length /statute/: 122.9 miles Path Width /maximum/: 1038.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 13 Start Date: 12/10/2021 Start Time: 10:32 PM CST Start Location: 1 ENE Newbern / Dyer County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.1197 / -89.2592 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 12:36 AM CST End Location: 4 W Elkton / Todd County / KY End Lat/Lon: 36.8138 / -87.2343 Survey Summary: The first observed damage was in Newbern near Washington Street. The tornado moved northeast, uprooting and snapping numerous trees along its path. Several homes had significant roof damage. The tornado initially produced EF-1 damage but while progressing northeast, it continued to strengthen to EF3 as it approached Dresden, TN. Several buildings and homes in downtown Dresden suffered significant damage or were completely destroyed. The tornado slightly weakened and moved northeast toward Paris Landing and eventually crossed the Tennessee River. 5 people were injured in west Tennessee. The tornado clipped the Fort Donelson National Battlefield area of extreme southeastern Calloway County, Kentucky where it blew down several trees, then crossed the Tennessee River into the Land Between the Lakes area of Stewart County and did massive tree damage to heavily wooded areas uprooting thousands of trees along its path. The tornado struck a well constructed single family brick home near Bear Creek where it took off the roof and top story. It then continued to travel northeast where it passed Indian Branch and Morgan Branch where it continued to uproot trees and destroyed some farm outbuildings, lifted the roofs off of some single and double wide mobile homes and completely flattened some barns and single wide structures. The most widespread and severe damage in Stewart County was between Indian Branch and Morgan Branch, to the south of Bumpus Mills. The tornado then continued northeast across the far northwest corner of Fort Campbell Army Base continuing to blow down trees before moving into Kentucky. The tornado received a maximum rating of EF2 in Stewart County, and 4 people were injured. The tornado passed just south of the city of Lafayette, Kentucky where it immediately struck a barn and knocked down several electrical transmission lines. The tornado tracked northeast over mostly open country before causing significant damage to several homes off of Boddie Road and Darnell Road. More significant damage occurred to several homes, farm outbuildings, and structures on Palmyra Road. A mobile home was completely demolished and significant roofing damage was done to a brick home on Herndon Oak Grove Road. As the tornado approached Interstate 24, mostly tree damage was observed with a few structures impacted as well. Once the tornado crossed Fort Campbell Blvd, additional damage to electrical transmission lines was observed including over a dozen wood poles snapped. The tornado continued northeast causing mostly tree damage before completely destroying four tobacco barns and damaging three equipment garages off of Bradshaw Road. Two other buildings were also heavily damaged along with multiple silos destroyed. Damage estimates were in the millions according to the owners for just this one farm. The tornado then took straight aim for the city of Pembroke where significant tree damage was observed along with multiple houses with roof damage. Once the tornado moved out of Pembroke, two mobile homes were completely destroyed with the occupants injured. The tornado then crossed into Todd County where mostly tree damage and damage to farm/outbuildings were observed. The tornado then lifted just before impacting the city of Elkton where straight-line winds became dominant. The tornado received a maximum rating of EF2 in Christian County and EF1 in Todd County, and 4 people were injured. The next tornado then touched back down just to the east across the Todd/Logan County line. .#2 Bucksnort EF1... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 110 mph Path Length /statute/: 14.48 miles Path Width /maximum/: 250.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 02:15 AM CST Start Location: 5 WNW Lobelville / Perry County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 35.7936 / -87.8815 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 02:26 AM CST End Location: 12 NNE Lobelville / Hickman County / TN End Lat/Lon: 35.9052 / -87.6721 Survey Summary: Damage from this tornado started in northern Perry County with some uprooted trees along Crooked Creek Road. An overturned RV and roof was torn off a barn along Highway 13 in Humphreys County as the tornado moved northeast, and uprooted as well as snapped trees just north of I-40 near mile marker 146. Dozens of trees continued to be uprooted further to the northeast across Duck River Road and Epperson Hollow Road before the tornado lifted in far northwest Hickman County. .#3 Northwest Hickman EF0... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph Path Length /statute/: 6.78 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 02:33 AM CST Start Location: 12 S McEwen / Hickman County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 35.9246 / -87.6214 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 02:39 AM CST End Location: 10 SW Dickson / Hickman County / TN End Lat/Lon: 35.9673 / -87.5125 Survey Summary: This tornado touched down in far northwest Hickman County east of Spence Hollow Road and moved northeast across Berryman Hollow Road, I-40 near Old Salt Lick Road, and Old Beaver Creek Road before ending near Texas Creek Road. The track of this tornado was determined using high resolution NASA satellite imagery. Numerous trees were uprooted along the path which closed I-40 for many hours. No structure damage was reported in this very rural area. .#4 Dickson EF2... Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 135 mph Path Length /statute/: 13.13 miles Path Width /maximum/: 500.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 2 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 02:43 AM CST Start Location: 8 SSW Dickson / Hickman County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 35.9759 / -87.4761 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 02:51 AM CST End Location: 2 ENE Burns / Dickson County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.0672 / -87.2734 Survey Summary: This tornado began near Brambling Springs Road south of I- 40 where it blew down numerous trees. The tornado crossed the interstate near mile marker 166 along Piney Road where it snapped and uprooted trees on N Mount Sinai Road. The most intense damage occurred on Murrell Drive where multiple homes were heavily damaged or destroyed as they shifted off of their foundations, experienced extensive roof damage, or had exterior walls collapse. In addition to the structural damage, hundreds of trees were snapped or uprooted in the same area. The tornado continued northeast damaging trees on Lena Road, and causing roof damage to homes on Stephen Street and Ridgecrest Drive. The storm crossed Highway 46, snapping electric poles along Printwood Drive. It weakened from that point, damaging multiple trees before dissipating near Burns. The track of this tornado was extended using high resolution NASA satellite imagery. .#5 Burns EF1... Damage was seen on Garton Road where there were large branches broken off trees. The tornado continued northeast where more uprooted trees were seen along Highway 96 and Beech Grove Way. More branches were broken further to the northeast and east along JC Brown Road, Johnny Hall Road, and Bakers Work Road before ending near Bakers Lewis Road. .#6 Kingston Springs EF2... Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 125 mph Path Length /statute/: 12.21 miles Path Width /maximum/: 400.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 1 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 02:57 AM CST Start Location: 1 E White Bluff / Dickson County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.1048 / -87.1934 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 03:11 AM CST End Location: 5 NE Pegram / Cheatham County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.1676 / -86.9919 Survey Summary: This tornado touched down near Highway 70 between White Bluff and Kingston Springs, and continued east-northeast where it produced roof damage to a few homes. While staying north of highway 70, there was damage to homes on Sneed Road where roof sections were removed, and had several trees snapped. Several more homes and trees were damaged along highway 70, including a few businesses, with mainly roof damage. A barn had its walls collapse between Old Butterworth Road and Cedar Hill Road. Some electrical poles were damaged on Cedar Hill Road before the tornado moved further northeast, blowing down more trees along Sams Creed Road, Indian Springs Road and Pond Creek Road before the tornado lifted near the Davidson County line. The track of this tornado was adjusted using high resolution NASA satellite imagery. .#7 Bordeaux EF0... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph Path Length /statute/: 9.004 miles Path Width /maximum/: 300.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 03:12 AM CST Start Location: 7 NE Pegram / Davidson County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.1819 / -86.9594 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 03:21 AM CST End Location: 4 NNW Nashville / Davidson County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.2225 / -86.8069 Survey Summary: This wide but weak tornado touched down in western Davidson County near Cub Creek Road and moved eastward across Bells Bend and Cockrill Bend just north of John Tune Airport, crossing the Cumberland River twice and blowing down numerous trees. Moving across the Cumberland River a third time, the tornado moved into the Bordeaux area of northwest Nashville where it caused major roof damage to a church, damaged a nursery, and damaged the roofs of numerous homes from Briley Parkway northeastward across Highway 12, Clarksville Pike, and Buena Vista Pike before lifting near Whites Creek Pike. .#8 Mount Juliet EF1... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105 mph Path Length /statute/: 7.67 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 03:31 AM CST Start Location: 5 WNW Rural Hill / Davidson County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.1424 / -86.5901 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 03:39 AM CST End Location: 2 N Mount Juliet / Wilson County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.232 / -86.5228 Survey Summary: This EF-1 tornado touched down on the east side of Percy Priest Lake near Cooks Landing Court and Stewarts Ferry Pike in Davidson County, and moved north-northeast generally along New Hope Road. Many trees were uprooted with EF-0 roof and siding damage to several homes in Davidson County. The tornado strengthened to EF- 1 and turned more northeastward as it crossed into Wilson County, causing minor to moderate damage to numerous homes in the Cobblestone Landing and Eagle Trace subdivisions. One home on Partridge Drive suffered severe damage with the garage and east side of the house being blown out. Further to the northeast, dozens of trees were uprooted along Old Lebanon Dirt Road and Division Street, and Mount Juliet Elementary School suffered minor roof damage. The most significant damage occurred in the Willoughby Station subdivision as dozens of homes between Melbourne Terrace and Greenhill Road received minor to moderate roof and exterior damage. The tornado weakened as it continued northeast, but continued to blown down trees and cause EF-0 damage to homes in the Vernon Hills subdivision and along Wilson Drive and Tate Lane. The tornado apparently lifted after crossing Lebanon Road west of Mount Juliet Road. .#9 Old Hickory/Hendersonville EF1... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95 mph Path Length /statute/: 6.82 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 03:33 AM CST Start Location: 3 SW Hendersonville / Davidson County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.2635 / -86.6578 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 03:37 AM CST End Location: 3 E Hendersonville / Wilson County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.294 / -86.5421 Survey Summary: A tornado touched down in Old Hickory on Orchard Drive uprooting several large trees and causing roof damage to multiple homes. It moved across Old Hickory Lake and downed power lines and trees from Walton Ferry to Sanders Ferry Road in Hendersonville. The heaviest damage occurred on Private Drive, Cumberland Hills Drive and Lake Valley Road where numerous trees were snapped or uprooted and homes received significant roof damage. The tornado continued east, crossing Old Hickory Lake once again and downing trees and power lines on Carter Lane in north Mt. Juliet. The storm weakened and lifted on Saundersville Ferry Road near Crosswinds Drive. .#10 Hermitage EF0... More homes were damaged on Seville Drive, several trees were uprooted, and multiple buildings at the Cherry Creek and Canyon Ridge apartments suffered roof and exterior damage. The roof of a medical building on Central Pike at Old Hickory Blvd was also damaged before the tornado lifted. .#11 Bethpage EF0... The tornado continued northeast causing tree damage along Wrights Lane and South Dry Fork Road. It damaged a few more trees before lifting at Highway 31E near Hinton Road. .#12 Belotes Bend... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.07 miles Path Width /maximum/: 50.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 03:48 AM CST Start Location: 7 N Lebanon / Wilson County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.3099 / -86.3301 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 03:51 AM CST End Location: 8 SW Hartsville / Wilson County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.3333 / -86.285 Survey Summary: This small EF-0 tornado was determined through a combination of NWS storm surveys, NASA satellite imagery, and radar data, and touched down near Belotes Ferry Road in far northern Wilson County where it blew down a few trees. The tornado crossed the Cumberland River into the Belotes Bend area of Sumner County where it blew down dozens of trees in a narrow swath across inaccessible rural areas south of Harsh Lane and Preacher Robertson Road. The tornado again crossed the Cumberland River back into Wilson County where it continued to blow down trees in the Lytles Bend area west of Canoe Branch Road before lifting. .#13 Carthage EF0... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Path Length /statute/: 7.29 miles Path Width /maximum/: 75.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 04:05 AM CST Start Location: South Carthage / Smith County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 36.2416 / -85.9548 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 04:10 AM CST End Location: 6 ENE Carthage / Jackson County / TN End Lat/Lon: 36.2949 / -85.8434 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down on Upper Ferry Road in Carthage and movednortheast along the east side of Carthage uprooting several smalltrees and snapping large tree limbs. The storm crossed the Cumberland River and caused tree damage and moderate roof damage to a structure on Mclures Bend Lane east of Carthage. The tornado continued east, crossing the Cumberland River and Sullivan Bend before lifting on Waynick Road in Jackson County where it caused minor tree damage. .#14 Hermitage Springs EF1... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105 mph Path Length /statute/: 11.17 miles Path Width /maximum/: 75.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 04:20 AM CST Start Location: 4 SSE Gamaliel / Clay County / KY Start Lat/Lon: 36.5809 / -85.7738 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 04:27 AM CST End Location: 2 E Hestand / Monroe County / KY End Lat/Lon: 36.6549 / -85.5988 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down in Hermitage Springs just south of Highway 52 where it uprooted trees. It paralleled Highway 52, continuing to uproot trees and causing shingle damage to multiplehomes. The worst damage occurred along the north side of the highway where four large agricultural buildings were destroyed. The tornado continued northeast, damaging the roof of a home onClementsville Road. Scattered tree damage was noted as the pathcontinued into Monroe County, Kentucky, where it caused EF-0 damage to a barn and trees along Beech Groves Boles Road. The tornado continued to weaken as it moved northeast damaging a few trees before lifting near Vernon Road. .#15 Giles County EF0... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 70 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.14 miles Path Width /maximum/: 30.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 06:17 AM CST Start Location: 2 SSW Elkton / Giles County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 35.0402 / -86.9138 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 06:19 AM CST End Location: 1 ESE Elkton / Giles County / TN End Lat/Lon: 35.0505 / -86.8786 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down near the intersection of Witt Rd and Beasley Branch Rd where some shingle were lost on a house, the roof of a shed was blown off and a few trees were uprooted or had large branches snapped off. The tornado continued ENE and paralleled the Elk River uprooting additional trees and snapping large branches. The tornado blew a semi truck off of I-65 before lifting east of I-65 along the Elk River. .#16 Grundy County EF1... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 8.8 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 12/11/2021 Start Time: 07:36 AM CST Start Location: 1 N Coalmont / Grundy County / TN Start Lat/Lon: 35.3475 / -85.7118 End Date: 12/11/2021 End Time: 07:45 AM CST End Location: 2 N Palmer / Grundy County / TN End Lat/Lon: 35.3916 / -85.5664 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down in Coalmont and quickly produced 90 mph winds that uprooted many trees on Freemont Road. It moved northeast and blew out the walls of a metal building structure and downed additional trees on 20th Avenue South near Highway 108. The tornado weakened as it crossed the highway and continued northeast.
