Summary:
NWS storm survey found damage consistent with an EF-1 tornado in the
eastern portions of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The tornado touched down
just west of Bluebonnet Blvd near a warehouse off of Anselmo Lane.
The tornado damaged the warehouse with a few broken windows, damaged
overhang awnings, slight roof damage, and rolled an empty semi
trailer. As the tornado moved across the far northern portions of the
property it uprooted a large tree and snapped many large branches.
The tornado crossed the railroad tracks unto the General Hospital
grounds where it reached its peak strength and flipped a car, picked
up another and turned it 180s degrees setting it on the hood of and
SUV parked next to it and moved several other cars. Oddly enough
small trees less than 10 feet away were untouched, this is why the
width is so small. As it moved away from the first set of hospital
buildings it snapped many branches and broken a large set of windows
on the back side of the building showing the full rotation of the
winds. It moved across Picardy Ave into the main hospital grounds
and did minor damage to exterior of the hospital and cracked a number
of windows, especially in the third floors and higher. The tornado
bent a metal pole holding a gate and debris likely help break many
windows in the parking lot. The tornado moved towards Summa Ave,
just as it hit the tree line it quickly lifted.

NWS storm survey found damage that is consistent with an EF-1
tornado. The tornado touched down in northern Ascension Parish,
beginning just south of Causey Road along Sycamore Avenue in the
community of Prairieville, Louisiana. A thorough survey of the
area determined the first observable damage to be an uprooted
hardwood tree. The tornado continued to the northeast crossing
Causey Road before impacting homes along Galvez Avenue. Damage in
this area included primarily large hardwood branches being snapped
or broken. As the tornado continued to the northeast, it crossed
several small neighborhoods including Malbrough Lane and Agnes
Segua Road, with large hardwood tree bases snapped representing
damage of low-end EF-1 scale. After continuing, the tornado gained
its peak strength as it crossed Beech Street and Shirleyville
Road, with distinct damage to homes including hardwood trees
falling and heavily damaging homes in the community. This weak
tornado later caused more damage along Chris Road, before crossing
LA 933. The last observed area of damage was along Jo Boy Road,
with partial removal of a Barn Roof. The tornado then quickly
lifted before crossing Bobby Sevario Road.
