...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 03/31/2020 TORNADO EVENT...

.Overview...
On the evening of March 31st, 2020, a strong cold front moved 
across southeast Georgia and northeast Florida, with a squall 
line of strong to severe thunderstorms moving through the Suwannee
Valley and northeast Florida ahead of the front. Two EF-0 tornadoes 
briefly touched down in the Jacksonville area, one in Suwannee 
County south of Live Oak, FL and one in St. Johns county near Guana 
River State Park.

Survey Summary: An EF-0 tornado with 85 mph winds briefly touched 
down north of CR 252 south of Live Oak, FL. This tornado damaged a
chicken coop and trees in the area, one large tree branch fell on 
a house.

Survey Summary: An EF-0 tornado with 80 mph winds briefly touched 
down in Ponte Vedra Beach near Guana River State Park. This tornado
caused tree damage and some damage to nearby houses including a
broken window.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph
