...NWS Damage Survey for the Sedgwick/Butler (Andover) Tornado Event...

.Overview...A very prominent and destructive tornado moved across
portions of southeast Sedgwick, Kansas, into the city of Andover Kansas, 
during the evening of April 28th, 2022. An extensive damage survey was
conducted, with the greatest intensity of the tornado rated an EF3.  
This rating may be adjusted if further evidence comes forward to 
suggest a change in rating.

Path Width /maximum/:   440.0 yards

Survey Summary:
Numerous houses received EF2 or EF3 damage. The most extensive area of damage 
occurred, just southeast of Highway 54 (Kellogg) and Andover Road in a subdivision
and to a health club facility. Another area of extensive EF3 damage occurred in a 
subdivision off of east 13th Street in northeast Andover. 

Three injuries were directly related to the tornado impact, with one serious 
injury. There were 3 secondary injuries that occurred during the rescue and 
recovery process.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph
