An extensive damage survey was conducted, with the greatest intensity of the tornado rated an EF3. This rating may be adjusted if further evidence comes forward to suggest a change in rating. .Sedgwick county/Butler (Andover) Tornado... Rating: EF3 Estimated Peak Wind: 155 mph Path Length /statute/: 12.8857 miles Path Width /maximum/: 440.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 3 Start Date: 04/28/2022 Start Time: 08:10 PM CDT Start Location: 4 E McConnell Air Force Base / Sedgwick County / KS Start Lat/Lon: 37.6262 / -97.1928 End Date: 04/28/2022 End Time: 08:31 PM CDT End Location: 1 ESE Benton / Butler County / KS End Lat/Lon: 37.7828 / -97.0816 Survey Summary: Numerous houses received EF2 or EF3 damage. The most extensive area of damage occurred, just southeast of Highway 54 (Kellogg) and Andover Road in a subdivision and to a health club facility. Another area of extensive EF3 damage occurred in a subdivision off of east 13th Street in northeast Andover. Three injuries were directly related to the tornado impact, with one serious injury.
