...UPDATED NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 05/14/18 COWLEY COUNTY TORNADOES...

.OVERVIEW...A supercell thunderstorm dove southeast across western 
Cowley county during the evening of May 14, 2018, producing one EF0
tornado southwest of Winfield. The supercell slowly exited into 
Oklahoma, but eventually moved back northeast into southeast 
portions of Cowley county, producing two EF2 tornadoes and one EF1 
tornado near Maple City and just east-northeast of there. 
Meanwhile, shortly thereafter a bow echo thunderstorm racing east 
into central portions of Cowley county produced three EF1 tornadoes 
between Winfield and Burden. No injuries or fatalities occurred.

The tornado touched down briefly in open country, damaging four 
power poles. The tornado was quite visible, and reported by many
chasers and spotters on social media and broadcast media.

8 minutes. The tornado mainly stayed over open country, but did 
knock down three or four heavy power poles. It also produced damage 
to some trees.
