...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 07/08/20 TORNADO EVENT...

In the early evening hours of July 8, 2020, a series of strong to
severe thunderstorms developed along an east-west oriented warm
frontal bundary across southern Crow Wing County. While individual
storms did not last very long, conditions were locally favorable
enough for a storm to briefly take on a supercellular nature.
This supercell briefly produced a tornado in a rural area between
Brainerd and Garrison. The tornado produced minor damage to one
property as well as damaging several trees along its path. The
tornado was estimated to be on the ground for nearly 23 minutes
before dissipating as the parent storm became outflow dominant.
