Rating: EF-0 Estimated Peak Wind: 85 mph Path Length /statute/: ~0.6 miles Path Width /maximum/: 125 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: August 18, 2021 Start Time: 835 PM EDT Start Location: Near List Rd./North Hopewell Twp. Start Lat/Lon: 39.856/-76.627 End Date: August 18, 2021 End Time: 837 PM EDT End Location: Near Main St./Winterstown Borough End Lat/Lon: 39.863/-76.618 The tornado touched down south of List Road and tracked to the northeast across Main St. before lifting just south of Pleasant View Road in North Hopewell Township/Winterstown Borough. The damage along ~0.6 mile path consisted of about 1-2 dozen snapped/uprooted trees (mainly softwood pines) with some tops sheared off. Some of the tree tops were lofted 25-45 yards. The swath of tree damage was about 125 yards wide. Two homes along the path sustained minimal structural damage to siding. A wooden swing set was also damaged.
