...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 07/14/20 TORNADO EVENT...

.Overview...Record warm temperatures, a weak frontal boundary in 
the area and an upper level disturbance moving around the north 
side of a area of high pressure to the southwest led to the 
development of a storm complex which moved east across the 
northern Texas Panhandle on Tuesday evening, July 14th. A weak 
tornado developed briefly along the leading edge of a 
strengthening line of thunderstorms around 7 miles west-northwest
of Gruver. The tornado was on the ground for around 4 minutes in 
open country before dissipating.

Survey Summary:
The tornado touched down in open country and while it appeared
weak, it encountered no damage indicators for a rating.
Confirmation of the touch down was based on picture evidence from 
a storm chaser and also local rancher in the area.

following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
