DISCUSSION...
Main concerns are with upcoming freezing temperatures and
possibility of accumulating snow across parts of the area Sunday
night and Monday.

Another cool day today after some freezing temps across northern
Oklahoma this morning. A reinforcing shot of even colder air will
slide south through the plains today, leading to an even colder
night tonight into Saturday morning. Freeze warning will likely be
expanded to include western north Texas.

Much of the weekend looks dry with a modest warm-up before next
storm system approaches from the west. Although differences remain
between GFS/ECMWF, they both bring colder air south into the area
in advance of approaching shortwave trough late Sunday into
Monday. Precip will start off as a cold rain Sunday with a
transition to snow from northwest to southeast late Sunday, Sunday
night into the day on Monday as the cold air deepens. Precip is
expected to end Monday afternoon and evening.

Expect to see some accumulations of snow across parts of the
area, with best chance across western Oklahoma, but not out of the
question to see some light accumulations as far east/southeast as
the I-44/I-35 corridor on Monday. Some travel issues will be
possible Monday. Another widespread freeze expected Tuesday
morning.

Remainder of the week looks dry with a warming trend into the
following weekend.
