National Weather Service Northern Indiana
720 PM EST Tue Nov 21 2017

Issued at 715 PM EST Tue Nov 21 2017

Lows tonight will dip to the lower and middle 20s as colder air
moves in behind a cold front. Look for dry weather with a gradual
warming trend through the rest of the week and into the holiday
weekend. Highs on Wednesday will be in the middle 30s and warm to
around 50 by Friday.

.SHORT TERM...(This Evening through Wednesday)
Issued at 310 PM EST Tue Nov 21 2017

A cold front was over far southwest Lower Michigan into northwest
Indiana this afternoon. A strong upper level system with favorable
upper level jet dynamics were able to overcome a very dry
environment and produce an area of rain in the vicinity of the
front. The best upper level support was north of the Michigan line
where rainfall amounts exceeded a tenth of an inch. Rainfall
amounts mainly under 0.05 inch are expected over Indiana and Ohio
before midnight. Very low inversion heights should prohibit a lake
response of lake effect rain or snow showers. High pressure will
continue to build in Wednesday with decreasing clouds and cold

.LONG TERM...(Wednesday Night through Tuesday)
Issued at 353 PM EST Tue Nov 21 2017

Fairly tranquil weather is ahead this weekend into early next
week. Another cold front will bring a chance for showers Friday
night after a brief warmup Friday. Little if any rainfall is
expected. Highs will cool back down briefly into the 30s by
Sunday. Warmer weather will return by Tuesday with highs
approaching or in the 50s by Tuesday.
