.SYNOPSIS...
Issued at 256 PM EDT Sun Jun 28 2020

High pressure will bring mostly fair weather through this week.
The only chance for rain will be on Monday afternoon and evening
across western Lower Michigan.

.DISCUSSION...(This evening through next Sunday)
Issued at 256 PM EDT Sun Jun 28 2020

The upper pattern across North America this week shows upper lows
over the NE and NW CONUS with a narrow ridge in between. One
complicating factor is a small upper low that gets trapped under
the upper ridge and could bring a few showers and thunderstorms to
southern Lake Michigan and far SW Lower Michigan on Monday
afternoon and evening.

This low weakens and retrogrades by Tuesday and the rest of the
week looks dry as sfc and upper ridging are in place.

.AVIATION...(For the 06Z TAFS through 06Z Monday night)
Issued at 255 AM EDT Mon Jun 29 2020

VFR weather is in place across Southwest Lower Michigan at 06z.
This should continue to be the case for the most part the next 24
hours. There are two aviation concern through the forecast period.
The first is a very small chance for some light/patchy fog this
morning. All observation sites are reporting 10 mile visibilities
at this point and we are not expecting any major fog development.
The second concern is the threat of showers and thunderstorms this
afternoon and evening. We are expecting scattered storms from
roughly 19z to 03z from about U.S. Highway 131 to the west. The
storms are not expected to be strong and will randomly bubble up
across the area given low wind shear. Cannot rule out some brief
IFR/MVFR conditions in the heavier rain in the cores of the
cells. Winds through the period will be light from the southeast
at 5-10 knots.

.MARINE...
Issued at 256 PM EDT Sun Jun 28 2020

Winds and waves will remain light through much of this week as
high pressure dominates. THere is a slight chance of thunderstorms
MOnday and Monday night.
