150 NOUS43 KLMK 231957 PNSLMK Public Information Statement National Weather Service Louisville KY 355 PM EDT Mon Jul 23 2018 ...NWS Damage Survey for 07/20/2018 Thunderstorm Wind Event... .Harrison and Floyd County IN Peak Wind /E 70 mph 60-70 MPH Path Length/Statute/: 5 mile Path Width/Maximum/: 1/4 mile Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Fri July 20 Start Time: 9:16 PM EST Start Location: 2 NE New Salisbury Start Lat/Lon: 38.3455 / -86.0598 End Date: Fri July 20 End Times: 9:25 PM EST End Location: 1 NE Georgetown End Lat/Lon: 38.3158 / -85.9473 Survey Summary: The National Weather Service conducted a storm survey around the Greenville and Georgetown area from a cluster of storms Friday evening. There was a concentrated area of sporadic wind damage along Nadorff Road. There was extensive corn being flattened, softwood trees having large sections snapped or knocked over. At 3635 Nadorff Road several large cedar trees were snapped and wind speeds were estimated at 70 mph. On Cooks Mill Road there was spotty tree and crop damage and a tree was on a house at the corner of Cooks Mill and Alonzo Smith Road. All of the wind damage was facing an east southeasterly direction. There was evidence of high water on some of the roads around Greenville.
