...Summary...

A line of severe thunderstorms moved through Anderson county on 
the evening of July 21, with straight-lines winds causing damage 
to numerous trees and powerlines throughout the county. An area of 
much stronger striaght-line winds, estimated at around 85 mph by the survey team, 
focused in the area just south of Belton, between Honea Path and 
Antreville. This area of stronger winds caused significant damage to
a home in the Jones Chapel area.
