A line of severe thunderstorms moved through Anderson county on the evening of July 21, with straight-lines winds causing damage to numerous trees and powerlines throughout the county. An area of much stronger striaght-line winds, estimated at around 85 mph by the survey team, focused in the area just south of Belton, between Honea Path and Antreville.
