The KCLX radar in Grays, South Carolina, will be down for up to five days beginning on Monday, February 25th. During this outage, technicians will refurbish the transmitter. This upgrade is the second major project of the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) with the goal of keeping the radars operating well into the 2030s. During this outage, radar coverage will be available through surrounding radars located in Wilmington, North Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina; Robins Air Force Base and Moody Air Force Base in Georgia; and Jacksonville, Florida. $$
