Through video and other reliable reports, the NWS in Birmingham has confirmed tornado damage in the city of Opelika. A storm survey team will be dispatched to Lee County Sunday morning. Additional Public Information Statements will be issued periodically through the day Sunday as the survey team reports back their findings. A major contribution to the success of our severe weather warning program is the receipt of storm reports from all our customers and partners.
