This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible mainly west of I-35 and along of
north of I-20. The main threat will be occasional lightning strikes.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible mainly north of a line from
Goldthwaite to Canton on Friday, then across the entire area Friday
night, especially during the evening hours. The main threat will
continue to be occasional lightning strikes.

Thunderstorm chances will increase along with the threat for locally
heavy rainfall this weekend with the arrival of a strong cold front
later on Sunday. Even behind the cold front late Sunday through
Tuesday, locally heavy rainfall will continue to increase the
potential for isolated areas of flash flooding, along with
increasing flooding potential on mainstem river basins as run off
will occur fairly quickly with saturated soils from previous
rainfall.

In addition and depending on where an initial, shallow cold front
lays up on Saturday, a few strong to severe storms will be possible
across parts of Central Texas. At this time, it's too early to
assess the main severe weather hazards until details on set up become
more clear. Monitor future forecasts closely into Saturday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
