Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service San Angelo TX
314 PM CDT Sat Oct 20 2018

.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight and Sunday)

...Dry and Warmer...

After nearly a week of rain, dry conditions have returned to West
Central Texas. A weak cold front has brought winds from the north;
however, surface cold air advection is essentially nil. The front
is pulling drier air with it; so, night time and day time
temperatures should have a wider spread than we've seen in many
days. Highs tomorrow in the 60s look good.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday night through Saturday)

...Rain Chances Return Early Next Week...

The long term forecast remains essentially unchanged. Rain
chances return on Tuesday, as an upper trough moves closer to the
region. Models indicate a tropical system, along the west coast of
Mexico, could provide some mid-level moisture to the mix. The
amount of rainfall clearly depends on how this tropical system
interacts with the upper dynamics. For now, rainfall amounts do
not look very high, for the Tuesday through Wednesday periods;
however, that will likely change with future model runs.
