400 FXUS64 KHGX 112341 AFDHGX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 641 PM CDT Thu Oct 11 2018 .AVIATION... TAFs will be focused mainly on high clouds moving in from the west and winds shifting to the SE by tomorrow afternoon. That being said, not expecting any restrictions for this forecast. VFR conditions to prevail. 41 && .PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 332 PM CDT Thu Oct 11 2018/ High temperatures so far today (as of 3 PM) are ranging from the upper 70s to the lower 80s with high pressure in control. Dew points in the mid 50s to lower 60s are helping to keep humidity levels on the low side with most spots around 45%. North to northeast winds in place today will become east to southeast tomorrow as the high moves off to the east resulting in warming temperatures and increasing humidities as we close out the week and head on into the weekend. While the rains associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Sergio (currently off the Baja California peninsula) are expected to remain to the west of our area, we could have enough moisture in place for some activity to develop on Saturday. Increasing chances will come beginning on Sunday (mainly up north) and on into Sunday night and Monday (area wide) with the approach and slow passage of a strong cold front. Lots of clouds, much cooler temperatures, breezy north to northeast winds (especially near and off the coast) and periods of rain can be expected behind the front for probably the first half of next week and maybe for the entire week as the flow aloft remains out of the southwest. 42 && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
