...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of central Michigan and west central
  Michigan, including the following areas, in central Michigan,
  Clare, Gratiot, Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, and Osceola. In
  west central Michigan, Lake, Mason, Muskegon, Newaygo, and
  Oceana.

* From late tonight through Friday evening

* Several rounds of rain are forecasted through Thursday...some of
  which could be heavy at times. In addition there is considerable
  water in the snow pack...most of which will likely melt off.
  With the ground frozen...the significant runoff into the streams
  and creeks may lead to flooding.

* Flooding creeks and small streams is possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
