Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are then possible across South Dakota this afternoon and evening. Patchy near surface smoke lingers across the east half of the region. High temperatures this afternoon are forecast from the lower 70s northeast to the upper 90s in southwest South Dakota. Chances for showers and thunderstorms linger across the region through the week, with highs broadly in the 80s and 90s continuing through Thursday. Friday and Saturday will be cooler, with a slight warming trend for next week. $$
