A line of thunderstorms, visible on satellite imagery, is moving north up the Bitterroot Valley this evening. Storms are producing gusty outflow winds to about 40 mph, brief heavy rain, and small hail. Expect arrival time of about 1830 MDT. Looking beyond tonight, a persistent southwesterly flow pattern is keeping afternoon thunderstorms in the forecast for the remainder of this week. The available moisture will also keep minimum humidity up in the lower 30s. An easterly pressure gradient will result in mostly easterly or northeasterly winds through Thursday.
