THIS EVENING...
.DISCUSSION...
High pressure remains in control of the local weather and will
continue to produce hot conditions today with much below normal rain
chances. A Heat Advisory will be in effect again this afternoon for
all counties except the Treasure coast for peak heat indices 108 to
112 with the hottest conditions along and north of I 4 corridor.
Heat indices along the Treasure coast will be up to 105. Another
similarly hot and humid day Tuesday but afternoon rain chances
increase 30-50 percent with highest chances north and west of
Orlando. Additional Heat Advisories are likely to be needed much of
this week.
Light and variable winds overnight and in the morning hours will
become onshore each afternoon as the sea breeze develops. Winds
remaining around 10 mph or less. While hot temperatures and humid
conditions will lead to heat index concerns, min RH between 40-50%
is forecast over the interior. Generally Good dispersion is forecast
except Fair along the coast.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
