* Flash Flood Warning for...
West Central Clark County in southern Nevada...
* Until 545 PM PDT.
* At 244 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Spring Valley, Summerlin, The Strip,
Mountains Edge, Enterprise, Paradise, Downtown Las Vegas, Lone
Mountain, Southern Highlands, Blue Diamond, Red Rock Canyon,
Aliante, East Las Vegas, Nellis AFB, The Motor Speedway, Red Rock
Canyon Campground, North Las Vegas Airport and Mccarran
International Airport.
This includes the following roads...
State Route 160 in Clark County between mile marker 8 and 26.
State Route 159 in Red Rock Canyon between mile marker 1 and 14.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
