...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in 
Indiana...

  East Fork White, White, Wabash


.Minor flooding is ongoing along the White, East Fork White, and 
Wabash Rivers across central and southern Indiana due to 1.5 to 3 
inches of rainfall that fell Friday March 3rd.

Flooding is ongoing along the lower White River from Elliston to 
Hazleton, with the crest near Edwardsport.

Flooding along the East Fork White River extends from Rivervale to 
Williams, with the crest near Rivervale

Flooding along the Wabash River extends from Lafayette to Mount 
Carmel and beyond, with the crest near Terre Haute.

Flooding along the lower reaches of the White and Wabash rivers is 
expected to persist well into next week with additional rain 
expected Thursday night and again this weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 AM EST Wednesday was 21.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.2
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    late Saturday morning.

  flood.  Additional agricultural flooding occurs.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.8
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, All county roads across or located in the 
  East Fork White River flood plain flood.  Flooding of agricultural 
  land becomes extensive. The county road on northside of gage 
  floods and gage may be inaccessible except by boat. Local 
  residents in nearby river cabins must park on higher grounds.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM EST Wednesday the stage was 25.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM EST Wednesday was 25.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.5
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water is at critical levels for makeshift 
  levees.  Most of bottomlands flood.  Old Vincennes road and State 
  Road 358 between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by 
  several feet.  High water surrounds river cabins.  This type of 
  flood occurs on average about once a year.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:00 AM EST Wednesday /6:00 AM CST Wednesday/ the stage
    was 20.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:00 AM EST Wednesday /6:00 AM CST Wednesday/ was
    20.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Friday afternoon and continue falling to 7.0 feet Saturday,
    March 18.

* IMPACTS...At 21.3 feet, State Road 257 south of Washington began 
  to flood during May 2008 after local rains of more than an inch on 
  very wet soils with Petersburg at 21.3 feet and rising and Shoals 
  at 15.5 feet and rising.
