Through the remainder of the late afternoon and early evening, scattered showers will continue to push northwest from the southern Atlantic waters, onshore to the Treasure Coast. While significant heavy downpours are not expected, areas in Martin, St Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee and Osceola counties could record a quick 1 to 2 inches of rain from showers over the next few hours. This activity will move northwest at around 20 mph towards the Kissimmee River basin. Occasional lightning strikes are also possible through sunset. $$ $$
